Transitional design borrows elements from both contemporary and traditional while not going to the extreme in either direction. This fresh new look has streamlined surfaces that incorporate traditional ideas.
Intricate moldings and carvings are typically not found in transitional design, however, the use of wood keeps it from looking too contemporary. Transitional design blends old with new giving it a timeless look.
